This week, you’ll get to see the Central American nation of Panama. Famous for the Panama Canal and the large capital of Panama City, this country also has a growing Seventh-day Adventist membership that is eager to spread the Good News to its neighbors. Your kids will meet one group of church members who worked together to raise enough money for land to build a church. They constructed a sanctuary, but it wasn’t ideal—the wind and rain caused issues during worship, and they had to transport equipment each Sabbath because the building wasn’t secure. See how this group’s faithful prayers were joined by Maranatha volunteers, who went a step further by going to serve this congregation.

- Maranatha could have paid people who lived in Panama to build the Limoncito church—instead, they sent volunteers. Those volunteers could have simply prayed for people around the world that didn’t have a good church building, but they went a step further and took action. How might the church members have felt about all of this, and why?
- Has someone ever told you that they were praying for you? How did it make you feel?
- Two of the first Christians, Paul and Barnabas, communicated and prayed with churches all over their part of the world. But they didn’t just pray for them, they took action to help in other ways. The two made long journeys to visit Christian communities to help them. Who could you pray for today, but also go a step further for by sending a note, physically serving, or speaking encouraging words to?
