Tales of a Kid Missionary
Maranatha Kids

16-Sep-2021
This Sabbath, September 18, is our virtual convention, Mission: Maranatha. Your family can watch together live at 2 p.m. Pacific on 3ABN and Hope Channel. Or watch online anytime starting September 18 on our website, Facebook, YouTube, or The Maranatha Channel app. Although we wish it could be an in-person event, we are still excited for you to watch inspiring testimonies from volunteers who have been changed by the mission. Volunteers like Madison Matthews, who, as a 12-year-old, spoke for our annual convention a few years ago.
As your children listen to another kid explain what missions have meant to her, we pray they will also consider their own calling as missionaries.

Pre-video Discussion Questions
Do you know another kid that has been on a mission trip before you have? What did they say about it?
VIDEO
In today’s video, watch 12-year old Madison Matthews give her testimony for our annual convention several years ago.
Post-video Discussion Questions
Madison saw how God helped through her mission work—have you seen God help in a situation in your life?
Our volunteers sometimes say they tend to see more miracles through the challenges of the mission field than at home. Why do you think that is?
In the Bible, Jesus gives His followers a command in Matthew 28 called, “The Great Commission.” Matthew 28:18-20 says, “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” How can you respond to The Great Commission in your own life?
Prayer Points
That Maranatha’s virtual convention will bless all who watch it.
Ask kids what they would add to the prayer list.
