www.maranatha.org -- About 180 miles south of Lima, Peru’s capital, there is a desert city called Ica. Here, in this place of more than 280,000 people, there is a vibrant Seventh-day Adventist population with a school and many churches. But just outside the city, in the town of La Tinguiña, there is another growing group of Adventist families who have been gathering for many decades. They even built a church for themselves and dreamed of one day building a school. A couple of years ago, this dream looked to come true when Maranatha agreed to build a new school in La Tinguiña. But things didn’t quite unfold as expected, and the people had to hold on in faith, for just a while longer.

- Near the town of La Tinguiña, there is a place called the Huacachina Oasis, which is a fertile land in a desert where there is water and plants to be found. Huacachina is the only desert oasis in South America, and it quite the tourist destination!
