Faith in Fortaleza, Bolivia

www.maranatha.org - This week, we’ll be headed to the South American country of Bolivia, where Maranatha built churches and helped expand a campus. One of the structures we built was the Fortaleza Seventh-day Adventist Church, located just outside the city of Cochabamba. Years ago, married couple Demetrio and Filomena started an Adventist group in the town by inviting people to their living room for worship. When the group grew in size, they moved to another person’s property, and then another and another. The constant moving, however, caused hassles for the congregation, and they realized they had to establish a permanent place of worship. Today’s story tells of their sacrifice and faith in finding a church home.

- Cochabamba is a city in the center of Bolivia, and it is famous for having the tastiest food in the country.
